I have a 1990 Buick Skylark and I need to remove the oil pan. How do you do it ? Help!! Just remove the spash shields in the way of the pan then remove the bolts from the pan and replace the gasket. You can find Buick manuals from Chiltons on Amazon for these cars. They're cheap nowadays.

The oil pan gasket is replaced by draining and removing the oil pan from underneath the vehicle. Be cautious when removing the pan as some oil will remain inside. Clean the edge of the pan with a light solvent to remove all of the old gasket, then dry thoroughly. Replace the gasket and reinstall the pan, torquing the bolts to specification.

Oil pans on Hyundai vehicles are on by several mounting bolts and nuts. Once remove the gasket for the oil pan will need replacement. Replace the gasket and reinstall the oil pan.
Place a drip pan below the oil pan and oil filter. Remove the oil pan plug. Drain the oil into the oil pan. Replace the plug to the oil pan. Turn the oil filter to the left, to remove. Fill the oil filter with oil and replace it to its original position. Fill the motor with oil.
