On my 99 you remove the door panel(screws at bottom of panel, one in the armrest cup, and one behind the door handle.) Then remove the black plastic cover on the inside of the door where the mirror is. Three screws there come out and then remove the wiring harness. Reinstall is reverse of removal.

To replace the passenger side mirror on the 1998 Nissan Maxima SE, first remove the door panel inside the door by releasing the clips below the panel and by unscrewing the handle screws. Then, remove the trim panel that covers the mirror mount inside the vehicle. There should be at least 4 screws. Release the wires from the old mirror and take the part off of the car. Add the new mirror and connect the wires. Replace the screws and the door panel.

Replacing the passenger side mirror on the Nissan Xterra involves prying the housing cover loose to expose the fastener. Gently popping out the mirror assembly and disconnecting the power connections. Now reconnection and attachment can be done.

To replace the passenger side mirror on a Chrysler Voyager you need to first remove the window trim. Next, disconnect the wires and unscrew the mirror from the door. Reverse directions to replace with new mirror.
