You can either pull the engine out are the transmission out. witch ever you think will be the easiest for you. The fly-wheel will need to come off and then pop the seal out that goes over the back of the crankshaft, Then clean it up and drive the new seal in it's place. Then put every thing back together. They do not use a 2 piece seal anymore so you can not get to it by removing the oil pan.
