This will work most of the time. Remove the cotter pin & nut. Then use a backup (big hammer or heavy piece of metal), place this backup against the part on the tie rod where the bolt goes through. Make sure you can safely hit the oposite side as hard as you can with a big hammer (the bigger the better). One good solid hit should make the tie rod just fall off. Good luck & don't leave any DNA.
