Why do you want to replace it? I worked for a Buick dealer for 19 years and have never had any problems with a gm 3800 engine timing chain. The older 3.8 b engines did.

--I don't believe that was his question. I have a 91 Le Sabre and my timing chain is gone plus it only has 63k miles on it. I know some mechanic's may be confused why would it need to be replaced like my previous rip off mechanic was. The thing is different things happen to different cars depending on their maintenance.

Well Im actually just learning how to do this serious job on my Buick, But i'm positive this will help you if you haven't finished it yet.

^^^ thats my YouTube channel i film all the parts you'll need and what you should expect i guess. I am also in contact with my current mechanic who is helping me out a bit. This isn't a really hard job it just takes patience and time.

Let me know if you also finished already i would love to know and easy way to get a new chain damper on there with a new timing set ....pain in the @ss!
