If you look closely at the bottom end of the wiper arm, right where the cog wheel is, you will see a small tab that can be moved out ward. This is the lock for the arm. That done, with a fair sized flat screw driver, slide it between the bottom of the arm and the base of the wiper arm and twist back an forth. The arm assembly will start to move up and off the cog wheel. Installation in reverse in the same location, then lock it in.
