If it is still in the same place as a '93, it is behind (near the connections of) the Battery.
you dump rite down the dipstick tube
I just replaced the thermostat and gave the coolant system a flush and replaced the prestone. Seems to have done the job.
Check the voltage level from the alternator. Overvoltage is about the only thing that can "fry" a battery. If the voltage is much above 14.5 V, the regulator INSIDE the alternator has failed. The only choice is to replace the alternator.
Fenders are the same. The hood will bolt on....but there is a design difference in the style of the hoods. As far as the grill and headlight area....these are different. But if you have everything from the donor car then yes...you can bolt it all up. In other words, a Cavalier headlight setup won't fit with a Sunbird grill. You have to swap it all over.
Best way to fix it is to replace it.I had not the correct tool or even knew what the correct tool is and took the car to a shop to replace the Timing belt and Water pump. The shop folk replaced my supplied Drivebelt Tensioner at no additional charge since as they said "We're gonna be in the area anyways".
It is cheaper to replace the heater core than it is repair it
