The trick here is removing the plastic tail light assembly after you've removed the obvious screws holding it in place. Once these screws as removed, you would expect the assembly to just come off but it doesn't. DO NOT PULL DIRECTLY OFF! There as screws still holding the assembly in place. You need to shift the assembly to the side (slide right on passenger side, left on driver side). The assembly will slide slightly and you should be able to remove it at this point. You see there are plastic holders where the the head of the screw fits through and then slides to a narrower section to hold it in place. If you don't slide before you pull, you'll break the plastic tabs. At this point, it simple to replace the bulb and replace the assembly.
