It is called an oxygen sensor. There are 2 of them. One between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter and one after the catalytic converter. They screw out of the manifold like you'd take out a spark plug. Make sure when you put new ones in you coat them with anti sieze compound. Otherwise, they will never come out again. Do this for the next guy that comes along.
