Chevy dealer, auto parts store, etc.
Brown and Brown in Mesa Arizona is charging me $1300.00 to replace the catalytic converter and fuel filter.
That would be the O2 sensor located in the exhaust system after the catalytic converter.
probably but it will sure start stinking.
There is 1 before and 1 after the catalytic converter.
Like changing a muffler Remove flange at front of converter Cut or remove clamp at rear install new
Perhaps: Fuel filter Air filter catalytic converter
Two. One on the bottom of the exhaust manifold and one after the catalytic converter on the exhaust system.
If a catalytic converter is indeed bad, it's far more cost-effective to replace it rather than try to repair it
That is a good possibility. It also could be running lean and causing it to smell that way.If it starts running poorly or wont accelerate then you will have to replace it. Need 2 find out why IT's running Rich.
