How do you replace the CV joints on a 1993 Nissan Sentra XE?"
they make a fork to put in between the transmission and the cv axle that attaches to a slide hammer, supporting the cv axle and using the slide hammer the axle should pop out (note I have seen the fork damage the housing of the cv axle if it is a very stumbern fit).
i was wondering how to fix a Nissan sentra 1996 1.6 c.v boot just some instructions.
you cannot just change the boot you will have to replace the whole axle
Easy fix!
It will cost approximately $90 to replace the axle seal on your Nissan Pathfinder. The axle seal will cost approximately $30 and require one hour of labor to install.
1 - simplest and cheapest method- replace the axle 2- replace the CV joints and boots 3- lots of unnecessary work, very expensive - check the joints and replace as needed, replace boots
don't replace the joint. replace the axle
A CV boot is found on the axle of a vehicle. To replace the outer boot remove the axle bolt and pull the boot off. The inner boot requires removal of the whole axle.
how to remove, or replace front right axle escape 2004
most shops will want to replace entire axle shaft which is the way to go, depending on where you take it should cost 175-250 per axle,
If it's the CV axle it slings grease EVERYWHERE when it goes bad. Technically, your wheel could fall off. Check the CV boots. (the rubber thing around where the axle meets the engine) If they're ripped or torn, they could probably use to be replaced. But my CVboots have been torn for about 2 years now and nothing has happened besides just making noise at higher speeds.
