To replace the CV joint on a Nissan Sentra, first, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel to access the axle. Next, disconnect the axle from the hub and remove any retaining clips or bolts that secure the CV joint. Carefully slide the CV joint off the axle shaft, and then install the new CV joint by reversing the process, ensuring all components are properly aligned and secured. Finally, reassemble the wheel and lower the vehicle.
How do you replace the CV joints on a 1993 Nissan Sentra XE?"
i was wondering how to fix a Nissan sentra 1996 1.6 c.v boot just some instructions.
To replace the CV axle on a Nissan Sentra, first, ensure the vehicle is securely raised and supported on jack stands. Remove the wheel and the axle nut, then disconnect the lower control arm or the strut to free the axle from the hub. Pull the axle out of the transmission or differential, taking care not to damage the seal. Install the new axle by reversing the steps, making sure to torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications.
Most likely it's a CV joint.
cv joint
You have to take it loose from the front bearing then pry it out of the trans. Big Job
they make a fork to put in between the transmission and the cv axle that attaches to a slide hammer, supporting the cv axle and using the slide hammer the axle should pop out (note I have seen the fork damage the housing of the cv axle if it is a very stumbern fit).
you cannot just change the boot you will have to replace the whole axle
$700-$1200
