It is very simple really. Just use a small flat head screwdriver to pop the speaker up and out of the dash. Disconnect wire connector and reverse procedure to reinstall.
front dash tweeters- 3.25" door speakers- 6.5" rear deck speakers- 6x9"
3 1/2 in the dash front doors are 6 3/4 and rear dash six by nine ovals
if a t/a came with front speaker it was mounted in the dash facing the windshield
The speakers were all recalled due to a vibration in them. Take it to the Jeep dealership and they will replace all the speakers in the car at no charge.
Dash speakers are 3 1/2 inches. They are a real pain to replace. You need to remove all lower portions of the dash.
Rip the old ones out. Then replace with new ones.
reach up under the dash and unbolt them.
Ask a Loacl. HOW do you remove the dash board on a 1996 dodge avenger
Answer If I'm not mistaking the dash board speakers on your car are under the dash, close to the windshield. I think you would have to remove the entire dash to be able to get at them so do yourself a favor, put good speakers in when you install them, as taking the dash apart is one heck of a job.
Remove center stack bezel (radio, heater control), remove screws from instrument trim panel at ctr stack and remove instrument trim panel, remove dash top panel, replace speakers.
It depends. In my 1994 Eclipse GS there were 3.5" speakers in the dash, 6.5" speakers in the doors and 6X9" speakers in the back. I think some have 6.5" in the back and some do not have the 3.5" in the dash. Best to have someone who knows what they are doing take a look at it. Some people put tweeters where the 3.5" are others just unhook the dash speakers and replace the door speakers with high quality 6.5" Good Luck.
The speakers i put in the dash of my 98 were 3.5 inch speakers!
