drive the very edge of the old plug so it spins 90 degree in the block so you can pull it out with pliers. a seal driver or large socket is used to put the new one in with sealant around the edges.
Front, back, and both sides.
Three on each side and two on the back.
You need to replace some or all of the freeze plugs.
It could be a pin hole in your freeze plugs. Over time, they can become corroded and can leak antifreeze. I had a 1998 Dodge Ram van and there were six on the bottom of the engine. Pretty easy to replace. You can find a universal set of freeze plugs and adhesice at most auto part stores. If it is leaking under the body, you could have a leaking heater core or under body lines that go to the rear heater.
there are none...
There is 8 of them on the 350. There are 2 in the back of the engine. You will need to remove the engine are the transmission to get to them. There are 2 on each side of the engine, 1 on each side is hidden behind the motor mounts and 1 is behind the starter and the other 1 on the driver's side you can see. There are 2 on the front of the engine just below the front of the heads. You will have to remove everything on the front of the engine to get to them. It is a big job to replace the freeze out plugs.
is the ecm on a dodge 2001, 2500 diesel hard to replace??
how do you replace the wiper motor pulse board on a 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500
The Cummins engine doesn't have glow plugs. It has an intake manifold heater grid.
All over the engine. There's about a dozen or so of them.
