Most Honda's require that you pull both axle shafts IN, which means some major disassembly of the front suspension. You'll need a front end alignment after you're done.
The best way to do this is to take into a mechanic. They will have all the right parts to help you out with this.
A mechanic. Sorry, a good mechanic.
The tranny has to come out. Expect to pay $500 labor plus $165 for the clutch. Don't attempt this repair unless you are an experienced mechanic.

This depends on the extent of the damage , a full inspection must be performed on transmission. Your mechanic will evaluate the damage and tell you what parts need replacing. Sincros, bearings , gears and input shafts can all be damaged when a gear fails.
I don't have a great answer except to say that this is probably not a "do-it-yourself" home mechanic type job. If you really want to attempt it, buy or download the shop manual and/or a repair manual, you are going to need it. That said, don't replace it unless you really need to, there is no defined replacement interval for the chain and it has been known to last for more than 400,000 miles. Only replace if it is making unusual noises or a visual inspection shows excessive wear.
