The tires lean on your lifted truck because you have changed the dynamics of your suspension and need to adjust the camber on your front axle. You must have independent front suspension. If you have full independent suspension it is an expensive expedition to fix the self caused problem you have to replace the a arms.
The Intrepid's suspension does not have "a" arms. It is a diiferent type of suspension. There are control arms out by the wheels.
Instead of using coil springs on the front suspension torsion bars are used from the lower control arms to the frame ( my 1995 Ford Explorer 4x4 has torsion bars , my dads 73 Dodge Coronet had torsion bars ) If you look at a lower front suspension that has torsion bars you will see the torsion bars going from the lower control arms rearward
Use a "drop" front spindle on the original A-arms. Spindles are made with a 2 or 2 1/2" offset which raises the wheel up into the fender, thus dropping the vehicle on the suspension without affecting the suspension travel.
Coil sprung, solid axle, with radius arms and a panhard rod.
A multi link suspension system is an independent suspension system where there will bwe three or more lateral arms or one or more number of longitudinal arms. The arms are of unequal length and they are bot placed in an angled way.
the major difference is all of the moving parts in the front that turn the wheels. the back is usually just shocks or struts and springs, whereas the front has tie rods, control arms, ball joints, etc. that move with the steering wheel as well.
Only if the lack of steering caused you to run over a boulder, or some other large road hazard. The lower suspension arms are pretty tough, and under normal circumstances are not easily damaged. The power steering and the lower control arms are not linked in any way...
Aftermarket (usually) suspension components, usually upper and lower a arms (front suspension) manufactured from tubular steel (basically high strength pipe) making it stronger than the factory components which are usually stamped pieces of heavy guage sheet metal.
== == The lower control arms are on the front not the rear ALL have coil front. The years that fit should be 1968 thru 1972 Camaro , Nova, and El Camino have the Same front suspension. If you Dont know cars dont try to be answering these questions (camaros have leaf springs el camino have the same suspension as chevelles so no they wont work bc camaros dont have control arms at least not factory)
The Peugeot 306 has a conventional Mcpherson strut front end with coil springs over shocks. The rear end is a solid axle with torsion bars that run across the car linking both arms. There are no rear coil spings.
Whenever you get anything that has to do with the front suspension replaced you should go get your car realigned It is just good to make sure that you have it aligned.
