with a screw driver
Mark driveshaft yoke and splined area from transfer case - so that it will be installed in the same position to maintain factory balance Remove and discard small "U" bolts from yoke (Replace with new at installation) Pry driveshaft out of yoke and forward onto splines at transfer case Drop driveshaft and pull off splines
front drive shaft, how do you get the yoke out of the transfore case to replace the ceal?
Remove 2 small u-bolts from rear end yoke Pry drive shaft out of yoke Slide front end of drive shaft off front splines
The only seals on the driveshaft itself would be on the slip yoke. You're probably thinking of the pinion seal, which is at the front of the differential, behind the input yoke to the differential.
The yoke's(!) on a motorcycle is the two plates of wich the front-telescopes, as well as the steering-axle, gets through. The handlebar are traditionally mounted on the upper yoke!
to replace pinion shaft seal you need to drop the drive shaft from the rear end then with large socket remove pinion nut from front of yoke remove yoke remove old pinion seal install new pinion seal reinstall yoke and pinion nut to specified torque re install drive shaft note now is the time to check and see if U-joints need replacing

NO. It has a slip yoke.
yoke on the driveshaft[s}
First make drive shaft and yoke to insure tat they are replaced in the same location to maintain factory balance Remove small "U" bolts at yoke Pry drive shaft out of yoke Pull driveshaft off splined end
To keep dirt etc from entering the spline area.
The front driveshaft yoke slides up into the seal and also into a bushing. If the bushing is worn, it will eat up a new seal quickly and start leaking. Check for side to side play or lost motion between the yoke and bushing. If there is any, replace the bushing and rear seal. Also look for a good clean smooth surface on the yoke slider. Also check for a bad U-joint that will cause driveshaft vibration and lead to bushing wear.
