Crawl under passager door about a footand then look up and viola it sould be right abouve you a few tools will be used to remove it...ps fuel pump right by it

You know what the metal fuel line looks like coming into the carburetor? Follow it down, probably behind the A/C compressor at the front of the engine. It will be a barrel looking type of device, with a piece of rubber hose and hose clamps at both ends.

Crawl under the vehicle and follow the fuel line from the fuel tank forward toward the engine. You will find the filter somewhere along that line.
1983 doesnt have a crankshaft position sensor. you have an ignition module located on the side of the distributor.
What model? The diesel has an inline filter (follow the fuel line inside the engine compartment) and a main filter (it looks like an oil filter with a large brass bolt on top). It is a petrol engin.
