If it is inside gas tank you must replace sending unit. Ensure "sock" filter is not clogged first.
fuel filter are located on the left side (driver side) on the inside of the frame rail just before the gas tank. Just follow the fuel coming out the gas tank, you will see a canster with a intake line and exit line heading toward the engine. Just remove both line and replace the filter. Remember that there is fuel still inside the filter and once you losen the line fuel will come out. After replacing the filter turn the ignition on but do not turn engine over this will pressurised the line( couple of times before starting vehicle up)
fuel intake filter inside of gastank is collapsed. Remove the fuel intake line from the fuel pump and blow the filter open with a high pressure air hose.
It attaches on the inside of the intake manifold. Tkes the vortec cover off and then the top cover of your intake mainifold. I know it seems wierd but it is actually a two part intake the will seperat in half. you will then see the4 fuel dilivery system and the fuel lines.
I runs from the intake manifold area, along the inside of the frame rail under the van, back to the fuel tank.
fuel rail leaking or on the fuel side of rail there is a "O" ring in line to seal it from leaks. if it is leaking, release fuel pressure from system, take out main fuel line to fuel rail and replace "O" ring on end of line.
To replace the fuel pump, you must unhook the fuel lines from the fuel tank and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. The fuel pump is actually inside the tank.
The fuel pump is inside of the tank. Disconnect the filler line, vent line, and fuel line. Put a jack under the tank, and unbolt the tank. Lower the tank, and the pump has an access plate on top of the tank.
If I had to replace a fuel line I would get a replacement out of a car in a wrecking yard and install that.
the fuel filter is located inside a fitting on the carburetor, where the fuel line goes into the carb....hold the fitting with a 1" wrench while you break loose the fuel line with a 5/8 wrench, unscrew the fuel line and then break loose and unscrew the fitting
There is a strainer filter inside the fuel tank mounted on the fuel pump intake tube but, that is not the fuel filter. The fuel filter is mounted under the hood, on the driver's side, engine side of the strut tower, below the air filter housing. It is mounted in fuel line.
Most likely the clamp on the fuel line has worn through the line - check the fittings and perhaps replace fuel line
No you do not.
