This isn't an easy fix bud, this is assuming that you have an electric pump and not a engine driven one, anyway it involves removing the entire gas tank, (removing the gas beforehand ). The fuel pump is located on top of your tank, well actually it's bolted to the top side, and dropped into the tank itself.
There will be a circular plate with your fuel lines going to it, along with the electrical line from the relay.
There will be 2 prbably rusted bolts holding the tank straps which hold the tank in place, use some CRC on these as they can be a sob, after ther off, have a feinfd help and lower the tank slowly as to disconnect the lines as it lowers, slowly !
Once the tank is away from the car you can get to everything, it's not hard from here, pull the old and replace with the new.
replacement is the reverse of removal.

i have a 1994 caprice and 2 days ago i replaced the fuel pump and i paid 134-160 for the fuel pump I replaced my 1992 Caprice one recently for $65.
How do you change a fuel pump on 94 Chevy caprice ls
I have a 89 Chevy caprice. When I had my fuel pump changed, they had to drop the tank...it was in the tank.
The fuel pump on an 89 Chevy Caprice is changed by lowering the fuel tank, disconnecting the pump wiring, and removing the fuel lines. The pump can then be lifted from the tank and replaced.
in the fuel tank
in the tank
in the fuel tank...
It has an electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank.
You have to remove the gas tank on the back end. the fuel pump sits right where tank connects to the car.
In the fuel tank
Mounted inside and on top of the fuel tank.
Probably If fuel injected yes
