There are two fuse boxes located in the 2006 Saturn Ion. One is located in the engine area right by the battery. The second is located inside the car on the drivers side. Push the seat back and look by the floor. There is a pull down compartment that contains the second fuse box.

LIke already said trace wires to the fuse box or take the wire out and replace that might be the problem also. it may not wven be the lighter i have checked the fuse and it is good i am not able to use anything on it like phone charger.
