The Grand headlight assembly pulls out of the front of the vehicle with a sharp tug--no mount screws or anything. Installation is reverse, just line it back up and a a swift push to lock back down.
The drivers side however can be done without removing the assembly--just reach in behind the headlight, lift the safety guard on the wire harness and pull back to disco. Then remove the retaining ring (usually gray) by unscrewing off--retain part. Pull out bulb and replace--should be a 9004 I believe. Reconnect in reverse order.
Passenger side is more difficult since battery obscures access...still need to get in there to disco wire harness, but always easier to pull that headlight assembly out of front to bulb replace.
Yep
Have the alternator checked. It happened to me, and I had to replace it.
No, the Grand is different from the Cherokee.
The thermostat on a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L is replaced by draining the coolant and disconnecting the radiator hose. The housing is then unbolted, the thermostat removed, and a new unit put in its place.
