you go in from the backside of the headlight assembly (under hood) it come out similar to the way we used to change tail light bulbs
i am guessing that you want to change the bulb and not the assembly. to remove the bulb just turn it to the left remove the old bulb replace in the assembly but this time turn it to the right.

take the three or 4 Phillips screws out of the taillight, remove the light assembly and replace the bulb......all with the tailgate up of course.....

It is located in the oil pan. In most cases you have to remove the engine to replace it. There is an upper and lower pan assembly that both need to come out. Call a mechanic.
