Locate the triangle-shaped mirror cover on the inside of the door. It's opposite the mirror housing. Remove the cover by pulling it off the door. Disconnect the wiring harness by pulling the two connectors apart. The harness was hidden by the cover. If you are replacing the passenger side mirror and it is not powered, skip this step. Remove the three nuts that secure the mirror to the door, using a 10-mm socket and ratchet. Pull the old mirror out of the door and slide the studs of the new mirror into the door. Be careful not to scratch the paint with the metal studs. Bolt the mirror onto the door with the three nuts. Reconnect the wiring harness by pushing the two connectors together. Place the plastic mirror cover on the door and push it into place with your hand.

If you want to replace the glass only, you can pop out the mirror by inserting a screwdriver behind the plastic frame that holds the mirror at the bottom and lift it until the bottom part of the frame snaps out.
