The method is the same for all 89-97 Cougars (and Thunderbirds).
Lift the wiper arm/blade up, then insert a flathead screwdriver into the center to release the spring. Then just pull the blade off from the wiper arm.
Most of the time you don't even need a screwdriver. You can basically just pull the blade from the arm.
