The bar that goes over them just pops off. Be sure to remove the back cargo light, first though. After you have snapped the bar off, you will see the speaker (4"). Just unscrew them with a regular size Phillips and do your replacement, then snap the body panel back on and put the cargo light back where it does. Voila! It took me about 30 minutes to replace both of my back speakers in my 99 rodeo last week.
