Hey trim guy--- do i just pry-off slim-skinny vertical outside trim piece or do i have to take out the inside headliner to git to the fastener that secures trim piece to outside of car?? It's my landlady's car & she'll kill me dead if i botch this, so... Help save-a-life today....
Just replace the wipers
First, remove the windshield wipers. Then you can remove the cowel just in front of the windshield. There are a bunch of screws connecting it to the firewall. Once you remove this, close the hood. Now everything is easily accessible and the rest is intuitive. Replace everything by using the opposite procedure.
If you know how to replace it, you can just get the right part and do it. If you are unsure, use the users manual or go to a mechanic.
It is hard to replace it yourself, and without professional help you would probably put it on wrong, I would suggest seeing a pro. Do you just want to replace the wipers?
if you dont know how to replace them go to autozone they're just about the only placve that'll have wipers that'll fit and they'll put em on for you
The wiper motor is a non repairable part, just replace it.
Genrally repairs are just for holes like when a rock first hits. sometimes small cracks can be fixed. You will probably have to replace it. If the crack in your windshield is small enough you may be able to fix it yourself. There are windshield repair kits that inject a resin material into the crack, if it's too large for that it can be repaired by a professional without having to replace the entire windshield.

Most vehicles have them just below if not attached to the bottom of the tank. You will have to remove the tank to see it.
It is possible to fix a cracked windshield, depending on the size and depth of the crack. If it is relatively small and shallow, you can use any number of sealers offered at most auto parts store. If the crack is very deep, however, you may just want to replace the windshield, as sometimes crack repairs can fail, causing your windshield to crack even worse.
Broken wipers are easy and cheap to replace. You should just buy new ones to ensure they are working right when you need them the most.
Heat cut the windshield out, just make sure not to damage the brake lights, and the windshield wiper, fit the new glass to the back, and weld it on the inside after removing the fabrication, put the fabrication back on, make sure the brake lights and windshield wiper work, and if they do, you're good, if they don't, visit an inspection shop, they'll hook ya up.
