Just had this problem my self. I have a 2002 Ford Windstar LX. I was leaking engine coolant. Took it to the repair shop. Come to find out Ford in their infinite wisdom has place a coolant line that runs underneath the intake manifold. It is called a Coolant Bypass Line. Needless to say it cost 450.00 to repair including parts and labor. Per the mechanic Ford has a repair kit that you can buy but has not issued a recall even though it is a known problem. Good luck I have read you can do it on your own but is a pain in the but.
