It's pretty involved. You can follow the instructions from this site. I ended up taking it to a garage and had someone do it because I got stuck at one of the steps. To get the alternator out you have to take apart the entire passenger side wheel assembly. Pieces wouldn't come apart anymore. (Just as a side note, this is the worst car I've ever worked on.)
