Replacing a battery on a 1963 Corvette is very easy to do. There are two clamps that need to be taken off that are holding the battery in place. After the clamps are removed, take the battery cables off and lift the old battery up and replace it with a new one.

Sell the car. This guy talks about taking metal retainers a loose and it comes out straight up. My car want do that as the aluminum over flow tank is installed almost directly over the battery. First thing is the battery has to clear the exhaust manifolds and it will not come out straight up. No I do not have a wrecked car. I have a Bloomington Gold and NCRS Top Flight. The reason I am changing the one in the car is we are getting ready to take the car to the Bloomington Gold meet for the special collection show. Really wish it had been that simple as I would have been through with this project.
