All auto parts stores will install it free of charge, assuming you can get it there. If you cant; make sure you buy the correct size replacement, then;
to remove: disconnect the negative (-) terminal, disconnect the positive (+), remove any bolts or straps that are holding it down and remove the battery. There will be something holding it in place, either a bar across the top, a strap, or a "wedge" that is bolted in to the battery tray
To install; attach any bar, strap, or bolt that is holding the battery. Remove the plastic terminal cap, connect the + terminal, then the - terminal. If you have an alarm, make sure you have your remote, it will start going off once the second terminal is connected, and your head will be right by the horn/siren. Make sure you never short a car battery (do not let anything metal contact both posts, and always disconnect the (-) terminal first and attach it last).
Wash your hands after handling the battery.

There is no way to tell. I had a 1995 Accord and the battery lasted 7 years. But on my current 2004 Accord it lasted 6 years. Then again I had a 1989 Accord and the battery only lasted 4 years. None of these batteries was ever run flat. Know that every time you run a battery down, you shorten it's life. At the very first sign of a weak battery I would replace it as your is 5 years old.
