Ehow.com has an article on how to replace a car battery. There are also several videos on YouTube that you can find on how to replace a car battery if you are so determined to do it yourself. I would suggest have someone with experience put one in.
when cranking the engine the battery voltage should not fall below 9.6volts if so replace battery
I have a 2001 Intrepid and my battery kept dying, so 2 tow trucks later I found out that the battery that was in my car had over heated and battery acid was leaking. After that all I had to do was replace the battery and everything is well. Hope this helps!
if the battery is in good condition and the lights are standard then 3 hours might be enough so it will not be able to restart itself but this may vary according to battery size condition and lights wattage.
9 or so would give you the correct voltage but they would not give you the amperage that a car battery would give you and that you would need to start the car.
I think so...
either your battery does not have adequate cranking amps or your starter motor needs overhauling if new battery, i would pull starter and replace
When buying a car battery it is best to choose one with an extended warranty so that if anything should go wrong with the battery or it isn't charging correctly, the company will replace it at no charge to you. I would buy a new car battery with a warranty instead recharging your old one.
The alternator is probably not working so you are running only on battery power. As the battery drains the engine loses power and will not restart if you shut it off. Have your local auto parts store test the charging system and the battery.
From my experience ... if you insert the key and turn it to the far right to the position (just short of actually starting the car) you are then able to disconnect the battery and replace it without the alarm setting off.
You could have a fault in the battery or even a short if so replace the battery
the battery in under the rear seat all you do is left on the front of the bottom part of the seat and BING BOUTA BOOM theres the battery, just undo the mount, and untightin the battery terminals and get ER DONE Not so FAST! This car requires a VENTED BATTERY. This vents the battery gases out the bottom of the vehicle. A conventional battery's out-gassing to the interior of the car would be extremely dangerous, and would eventually ruin the interior of the car.
