sideview mirrors can be replaced at any auto glass replacement shop. They can either cut your mirror to the pattern or order you an exact fit from their suppliers. To my knowledge the replacement mirrors at most automotive supply , e.g. Advance, are plastic and do not pass inspection.
Not knowing which mirror on what vehicle, many glass shops can replace the mirror if that is all that is broken.
How to replace passenger side view mirror on 2000 GMC Yukon?
As long as it is not a heated mirror or any special type of mirror your local glass shop should be able to repair it for you. Cost in eastern pa would be about $45 ......if it is only the glass that needs to be replaced. Ebay also commonly has listings for both the entire mirror or just the glass.
If the mirror housing is ok, A glass shop can sell you a replacement mirror with double sided tape to replace the broken one. It even says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear"
Hi , it depends if only the glass is broken or if the backing plate is damaged as well. If only the glass is broken you can purchase a replacement passenger mirror glass for your Silverado for $24.99 including shipping from our website autoglassplus.com. Thanks Jack
If only the glass is broken take the car to your local glass repair shop.
You probally wont have to replace the whole mirror assembly but just the glass mirror part itself
the mirror should just pop out, remove the two heating wires and install the new mirror
If you heat the mirror with a propane torch, you should be able to soften the glue and pick the mirror glass off. Get a replacement glass and silicone it on, using masking tape to hold it for 24 hrs. -- remove door panel, remove bolts to the mirror, (unclip wiring if a power mirror) replace.
mine broke as well on a 2004 ford ranger (passenger) and it was 25 dollars cheaper to just replace the mirror (glass only) rather than the whole housing.. i went ot my local automobile glass installation place (all star glass in my area) and bought the glass for 15 bucks and just with a screw driver carefully remove all your broken glass and silicone the new glass to the plastic.... its simple and effective
If the glass is broken, They make a replacement glass you can by at NAPA it glues in. If the plastic mirror assembly is broken, Then go to junk yard or GM dealer and by a new one. Replace whole assembly.
If it's just the mirror glass itself - go to any good glass shop and they can cut you a piece to fit, and install it with the proper adhesive.
