It isn't the bulbs. Transistors have burned out due to poor design. They get $200 for the part. Check out siliconmethod(dot)com. Repaired for around $50. I am not associated with the company.
You have to pull the gauge cluster out. On the back of the gauge cluster there will be little gray bulbs that twist in, turn them to the left and pull them out. Be carefull not to break the clips on the dash while removing it, or installing it.
Clutch could be skipping
take off the upper 3-4 screws on dash/gauge panel (attaching to dashpad from below), remove panel, remove press clips holding gauge lenses to gauges (optional), then remove the four - five mounting bolts holding gauge assembly, replace bulbs which are accessed on the rear of the gauge assembly, replace in reverse. good luck.
you don't! remove bezel for gauges, remove four screws for gauge assembly, pull forward and tilt, replace the four bulbs.
Bulbs burned out?
Bulbs simply burn out dumba**!
you need to replace dash illumination bulbs only problem the speedometer cluster has to be removed
replace temperature gauge
There are many bulbs in the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster must be removed to gain access to them.
You have a light out...take a look at the trim around the instrument cluster, should be held in by a few screws. After pulling the cover pull the cluster, look on the back, check all bulbs and replace the ones that are burnt out or replace them all. For an excellent graphic presentation of the steps involved, see the Related Link. An excellent how to. You can't just snake your arm up there without a lot of cuts and scrapes.
pull-out the panel gauge with both hands. remove the sockets behind and the speedometer cable counterclockwise as well. remove the busted bulb and replace it with a new one.
