Make sure the fuel tank is below 1/4 full. Purchase the fuel filter from a FLAPS (friendly local autoparts store). Lift the passenger side rear, I used 3 pieces of 2" x 8" lumber and lowered the car tire onto the lumber. Remove the gas cap to relieve fuel system perssure. Scootch under the car and locat the fuel filter, it should be near the fuel tank towards the front of the car. Unbolt the filter holder from the car chassis. Secure a coffee can to catch gasoline drippings during removal. Using needle nose pliers depress the clips on wither side of the fuel line adapter to release the line. Using a pair of open ended wrenches hold the filter and unscrew the line from the other end of the filter. It is steel fitting on steel filter so it may rust in place. Use liquid wrench the day before to assist in removal. No flames or heat please, gasoline fires can ruin a perfectly good day. When you replace the filter coat the male fuel line threads with "never sieze" to make future service easier. Screw the fitting into the filter, make it snug but refrain from KONGING it on, it's a compression fitting that does not require much torque to seal.. Push the line onto the other end of the filter, make sure that it clicks into place. Re-secure the filter and it's holder onto the car chassis, 10-15 lbs torque is adequate. Replace the fuel tank cap. Start the car and check for leaks, run for at least 5 minutes, check for leaks periodically. Good Luck
