It Located behind the glove compartment. Just squeeze the sides of the glove compartment and it will release and hang down. simply open the cabin filter compartment and change filters.
If you have a 2004-2006 (other years may also be the same), the cabin air filter sits behind the glove compartment in your vehicle. To access the cabin air filter, open the glove compartment as you would normally. On the left side of the compartment, you will see a knob with a retractable string that attaches to the glove compartment (this controls how fast the glove compartment falls when you open it). While gently pushing up on the glove compartment, turn the knob attachment clockwise slightly and then away from the glove compartment to release it. Then push in on both ends of the glove compartment to release the catch triggers that lock the glove compartment movement downward. At this point, the glove compartment will be completely free, so make sure to keep your hand underneath it so it does not completely fall out. You do not need to completely remove the glove compartment, you only need it to be released from the vehicle's dash. Inside the newly exposed area behind the glove compartment, you will see a white filter housing panel. Push in the two clips to release the filter housing. Replace the filter with a suitable replacement, making sure to maintain the position of the filter (filters will not work correctly if they are not in the right position). Place the filter housing panel back into the vehicle. Make sure it is locked in with the two clips. Reverse the steps above to replace the glove compartment. NOTE: You may find it easier to attach the control level (the retractable string) to the glove compartment before locking in the two catch triggers on either side of the glove compartment.
You can find behind the glove compartment. If you want to replace it, most likely you have remove the glove box.
remove the glove compartment you'll see it.
its over the glove compartment box. take out screws surrounding the glove compartment. put your arm up and around it and you will feel the flashers. then replace screws
Not sure this is the approved manner but this is how I perform the change. First remove the glove compartment. This involves removing 4 screws from inside the glove compartment. Next remove the lower trim piece ( below the glove compartment), this involves removing the fuse cover and then removing 2 screws. This trim piece should then pull out with a little light pulling. Once this is out remove 3 screws holding the glove compartment in place. Remove the glove compartment. There is a metal trim piece that held the glove compartment in that you remove with a couple of screws. Then remove the filter cover (it snaps right off). Remove and replace the filters. Reverse the procedure to finish.
