It is not as hard as they make it look. I found these VERY useful instructions at this link - they have some great support and tips here: http://www.mytouareg.info/files/autoindex.php?dir=%2A%20Touareg%20%2A/FSM%20%26%20Installs/ You will need 2 PDF manuals from this site: Halogen_Headlamps_94-01.pdf and HID_Headlamps_94-02.pdf Start with 94-01 to get the headlamp assembly out and follow the remainder of the instructions if you have halogen lamps and use 94-02 for replacing HID lamps. The only tools that you need are a 6mm socket (with a screw drive handle) to turn the open/close shaft and a pretty long flat head screw driver (about 7" or 8") to depress the securing clip while pulling the assembly out. It may help to have 2 people the first time that you try this but once you get it the first time, it is easy enough for one persone to do it. What ever you do, do not over turn the open/close shaft. Before you order replacement lamps it might help to take the old ones out to make sure that you are ordering lamps with the proper specs. The first time I did it, I ordered an HID lamp and it did not work.
