How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1998 Acura RL 3.5L?
"You remove the air intake, battery, and may need to remove the anitfreeze resivoir next to the battery. Then you can reach the bulbs from the back. Yo will no longer need to remove the bumper, taking out the housing is a pain. Just make sure you have the stereo + nav code when you take out the battery."

Honestly, just look in your User's Manual, if you can't find it: all you need to do is take out 2 really long screws that screw into the top of the headlight, and then slide the headlight forward onto the bumper, and the headlight pulls out from the back. This is one of the most insanely dumb engineered vehicles that I've seen. You have to take the wheel off to replace the battery?!?
Do you need to remove the bumper to replace the driver's side headlight assembly on the 1998 Volvo S70?
Open hood, look at the back of the assembly and locate the 4 hex bolts that hold the unit in place. Remove the bolts, slide the unit away from the body, and disconnect the wiring harness. You can also access/remove the turn signal unit when the headlight assembly is removed by sliding it forward and disconnecting the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install. This reply is good for both the 1998 S70 and 1998…
If it is like my 99 Regal, it is really easy. Lift your hood up and look behind your lights. You will see two white long clips. Pull up on these clips and pull them off. Pull your headlight out the whole headlight. Pull the little black rubber pieces off of the back of your headlight and your bulbs should be inside the headlight. Twist them out and change them and put your headlight back…
Hi: My best bet is to remove the plastic container sitting behind the head light. Now, if you want to replace the bulb or complete set, then you have plenty of room to unscrew and replace the whole kit or just replace the bulb. Hope, this helps. I actually removed my battery on my Camry. A pain, but you get LOTS of space to wiggle.
