AnswerDo not touch the glass part of the new bulb, oil from your fingers may shorten the life of the bulb. You do not need to remove the whole headlight assembly. From inside the engine compartment find the back side of the headlight assembly, first remove the power connector by squeezing the sides of it. This power connector is no bigger than a ping pong ball but is square looking and has a few wires leading into it. (If you can't pull it out, don't worry, you can still do this.)

Then you have to pull back the round rubber boot from the back of the head light assembly. Remove the boot and lay it aside. (Or, if you cannot pull out the connector, just bend it back.)

[For easier access to the assembly, pull the coolant container straight up. It will come off the flat peg it sits on.]

After that, you can flip the metal tab wire that is bent in the shape of a small paper clip off the bulb. Go the the starboard (right while facing forward) end of the wire. You can push down the end of the wire, and disengage it from the tab that end sits begin. Then you can flip the entire wire off the bulb. While the tab is pushed down it also must pop toward the rear of the car to clear the plastic notch that it is hooked into. I used a small screw driver. This same wire extends around to the opposite side of the bulb where it is hinged. This wire holds the bulb in its mount.

The bulb will come out easily now. (If you still need to, pry the three bulb prongs (look at the new bulb to visualize this) out of the power connector. Now you can remove the rubber boot.) Note the way it comes out and put new bulb back in the same way. There are 3 square tabs on the bulb that need to go into the 3 matching notches inside of the headlight assembly. They keeps the bulb in the correct position. Inserting and positioning the new bulb does not require any force. Re-connect the wire tab mount that secures the bulb. Remember... fingers off the glass part of the bulb.

Then put the rubber boot over the end of the bulb, and over the hole so it acts as a gasket. Then put the three prongs into the power connector, and you should be all set!
