headlight replacement is not so bad. just pop the hood, look at the back of the headlight, you should see what resembles the vanes of a generator. It looks as if it is just begging to be turned. Well, turn it (remember, lefty loosey, righty tighty). there you go. replace the bulb and you are on your way.

if you look down at the top of the headlight assm with the hood open,at the rear of the headlight assm you will see two long clips holding in the headlight assm. they run top to bottom. you have to pull these clips up and release them from the headlight assm. now pull out the whole assm and you will be able to access the bulb.

i just LEARNED THAT THERE ARE TWO O2 CENSORS ON A 99' FORD ESCORT THEY ARE EASY TO CHANGE. ONE IS RIGHT BELOW THE CAD CONVERTER AND THE SECOND ONE IS LOCATED ON THE MANIFOLD. JUST DISSCONNECT THE WIRES AND UNSCREW THE O2 CENSOR. THEN REPLACE IT.

Hi, You have to remove the entire headlight assembly to get to the bulb, which is located in the back of the assembly. There are three wing nuts that hold the assembly in, and those will have to be removed. Then remove the side signal assembly first, then the headlight assembly. I have provided a link that shows exactly how this is done and where these wing nuts are. Good Luck
