It's extremely simple, you don't need to remove the battery or anything else for that matter. First open your hood. second look down just behind your headlights, there are 2 black metal tabs, pull them both up, you will need to use a little force. (use pliers.) pull the head light cover out, turn the bulbs, take them out replace with new ones. set the headlight cover back in place and push the 2 black tabs back down. repeat on the other side. replacing all 4 bulbs (2 high beam 2 low beam) should only take 5minutes. break down real fast, pull black tabs up, remove headlight cover, turn bulbs, replace with new bulbs, put headlight cover in place, push tabs back down. Your done. DON'T REMOVE THE BATTERY OR ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!

You will need to take the complete headlight assembly loose or out to get to the bulb to change it.

Carry it to dealer who will replace on low beam headlight for $15 +/- dollars in about 5 minutes.
Open the hood and then examine the top of the headlight assembly and locate the two pins that can be pulled up and out of the assembly. Then rotate the headlight Assembly out of the front of the grille and change the headlight bulb...reverse the process
I've got a better question, why is this question in the Chevy venture forum ?
To change headlight bulbs in a 2005 Ford Escape, first make sure the light switch is in off position and replace the passenger light bulb. Next, get to the driver's side bulb, remove the battery by holding it down, to be able to change the headlight bulb.
