I have a 93' Ford Ranger, w/ac, I had to change the heater core, as you open the hood to the engine, look to the left, there will be two hoses side by side going into the paasenger side , diconnect them, then you open passenger door, get underneath dashboard, unscrew the plastic screws, might break, pull down the covering and heater core should be exposed, pull it out, replace it with the new one, might need an extra hand to help attach hoses from the engine side.
see the answer for how do you replace heater core 96 jetta its the same good luck and god speed
Normally when a heater blower motor only works on the High setting, it is caused by a defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack. The fix is to, Replace it. In very rare instances it can also be a defective blower motor speed control switch, but rarely.
bearing is out,replace motor.
It is the resistor, replace it.
If your asking if it can be done without removing the transmission? NO.
The heater motor speed resister is burned out.
propably need to replace the blower control switch/resistor
ranger xp is 50 mph
most likely cause will be a faulty fan speed resistor.shouldnt cost more than $50 to replace
The 1998 Ford Ranger speed sensor ring can be located on the passenger wheel. The speed sensor ring will be on the inside of the brake rotor.
The blower motor speed resistor is burned out. You can replace only the resistor but the resistor probably burned out because the blower motor is going bad. If you want to fix it for good, replace both the blower motor and blower motor speed resistor.
fan speed control switch is bad. Replace it as long as the other speeds work fine.
