For a 1988 Mercury Marquis remove bottom shroud from steering column (5 Philips head screws). There is a wire running from the ignition switch to the left side of the steering column; detach it from the coupler (This can be done without a tool). Turn key to ON position until the panel lights come on. There is a small pin near the bottom of the key lock; push it in and pull the ignition switch out (don't panic if the wire seems to be stuck; it will come out).
To replace, turn new ignition switch to same position. Push pin on the ignition switch in while sliding it back into the steering column. Reconnect wire and then replace shroud.
To replace a broken key in a 91 Subaru ignition, you will need to contact a locksmith. The locksmith can cut a key to match your ignition.
the steering wheel will lock and the key will come out, unless of course the ignition cylinder is broken
There is no fixing a broken motor mount. Replace them with a new ones.
Broken off the door or from main body? Main body- Prefabricate. Door- replace door.
GO BUY A NEW IGNITION SWITCH AND KEY SET TO INSTALL IN THE COLUMN. It's not that simple smart#@$! If anyone can answer the question intelligently I would appreciate it.

It must be broken. You will have to replace it. Dealer only part.
Replace the tumbler assembly, it is broken.
In some cases you can use a magnet to pull out the broken key. You might be able to pull the broken key out with a needle nose pliers. You might need to replace the ignition barrel.
I've had a similar problem with my 92 grand marquis. I had to change the mass air flow sensor and replace a broken vacuum line. after that my car ran better than it ever did.

If the key is broken off in the ignition of the 96 Crown Victoria it will have to be picked out. If the key is out and broken, a locksmith can use the broken pieces to make a new key or rekey the ignition.
replace the ignition, the spring controlling one or more of the lower wafers in the half of lock is broken causing gravityto pull them into the wrong position making the lock inoperable.
The Key/Lock cylinder is broken. Replace it. Your ignition switch may also be defective, so replace the lock cylinder and see if the problem goes away.
