In the engine, you will find the light leading out into your engine. Take the plug and give it a quarter turn and pull. To get to the right side one, you have to take out the box (just pull it out) in front of the battery, but it has cables, so don't pull it too hard.

I'd be tempted to replace the head lamps before I replaced the switch. You're looking at a cost factor of about $25 to replace the lamps vs $65 or $70 for the switch. Be sure to check for the obvious things like fuses or broken wires first. Could be there's a loose, broken or dirty ground connection to the headlights.
Headlights have a twist lock base. push in and then turn it left 1/4 turn looking at the back of the housing, then pull it out. replace bulb and reverse instructions

The turn signal flasher is incorperated with the Hazard lamp switch. The switch must be changed,then the directional lamps will work correctly.
