If you are referring to the 3rd brake lamp assembly, all you have to do is pull the left side of the plastic mount toward you if you are sitting in the back seat. the assembly pops right out and the bulb can be replaced.
expose back of bulb, turn to the left, replace bulb, return to socket, turn to the right

Depending on the vehicle, under the hood there is a container that is labeled Brake Fluid. That is where a person measures the amount of brake fluid left, and with a funnel adds the appropriate amount.
The brake light failure sensor is located at the back of the left rear lamp assembly behind the trunk liner. It is a square circuit board about 2" x 2" connected by a wire pigtail to the main left rear brake and running lights.
You have to lower the tailgate to start with, then if you look at the edge side of the brake light cover (the lens) you will see 2 screws with torch fittings (star like - not a Phillips or cross point) Remove these 2 screws and then the lens will pull out to the left for the left side. You may have to use a common screw driver to get leverage to remove the lens. Once you remove the lens, the bulb compartment for the brake light is the larger middle fitting. Unscrew the bulb holder and replace the bulb with out putting finger prints all over it. Then reverse the process to put back together.
On a 1989 Acura Integra hatch back the brake lights are reached through the hatch itself. The brake lights housing are on the rear of the vehicle. Unplug the bulbs and replace them.
