There are two screws on each side holding the light pods. Unscrew the screws and lift out the pod, remove the bulb by undoing the screws inside holding the pod together...get bulb out by twisting from socket.
There are plastic bulb covers on either side of the license plate. Unscrew the screws and take the covers off. From there you can insert new bulbs.
Most of the lighting on the rear of the Geo is housed inside the rear lense assembly. By removing the series of Phillips head screws that holdl the lense in place, you should be able to remove the lense and thereby access the lamps.
Check your ground wires. You could have a slightly cut wire. You have a short somewhere.

Get two #168 bulbs,open the hatch look on the passenger side behind the plate for the inset handle remove the screw ,pry off the plastic cover.the bulb holders are up in two cutouts behind the license plate squeez the conector and turn the bulb holder will come out .replace the bulb then replace the holder then replug the wire.ps dont drop the connector its a pain to get it out

Raise the trunk lid...you will see the lights on each side of the license plate...use Phillips screw driver to remove and replace bulb. Just did this takes about 2 minutes.
to wire the license plate lights you must have lights and wire them to the scooter.
