The O2 sensor screws into the exhaust like a spark plug. If you can get at it, you can use a combination wrench; if not, you may need to buy a special socket. You should use a penetrant on it prior to removal.Simply unscrew the O2 sensor and unplug in the wire(s). Before leaving the parts store make sure you get the right one i.e. one wire/two/wire. So look at yours before you buy the new one. Good luck.

Just unplug the electrical connector and then unscrew the oxygen sensor out of the exhaust pipe.
