I found no mention of a Power Steering filter in the owner's manual or in the service manual for Outback.
There is no Power Steering Filter on a 2002 Subaru Legacy/Outback.

The Subaru Outback fuel filter is located inside of the fuel tank. Changing the fuel filter can be very costly and time-consuming.
where would you find out if the Air Conditioner filter is blocked on a 2005 Subaru Outback
The filter is in the fuel tank , and accessed thru a panel under the rear seats. They last at least 100,000 mi.
There should be a black box located on the left, inside your engine bay, mine's made out of plastic, your air filter should be located in there.
See "Replacing an Air Filter" under "Air Filtration System" on page 15 of chapter 4 "Climate Control" in your "OWNER'S MANUAL".....
The fuel filter is inside the gas tank, attached to the fuel pump.
yes it does. It is a little hard to take out. If you have had this car for sometime and the cabin filter has not been changed it is probably very clogged up. If you are reasonably handy I would recommend going to your local Subaru parts dealer and buying a new filter. It comes with instructions on how to replace it
Post a classified add in the local newspaper...
