if your working on a v6, remove the serpentine belt first. on the 4 cylinder remove the air intake duct. use something to suck out as much fluid as you can from the pump. disconnect the pressure line and the return hose from the pump, plug the lines to prevent fluid spillage and contaminates from entering fluid hoses. if your working on a model with a v6, remove the cruise control actuator. remove power steering pump mounting bolts, remove the pump. if your installing a new pump on a v6, remove pulley with a suitable puller. and put on the new pump. useing a special removal and installation tool ( availiable at most auto parts stores). do not use a press to install the pulley, it should be flush with pump shaft.to reinstall is the reverse of removal. good-day !
