Backing plate replacement requires removal of the Caliper, caliper bracket

rotor. Then comes the fun part. The rear axles have to be removed, as the backing plate is behind them. (Unless there is a Two Piece backing plate out there for this vehicle)

This involves draining the rear axle fluid, by removing the rear differential cover. Once drained the center pin must be removed, its held in place with a small high grade bolt. After the center pin is removed, the axles can be pushed in towards the center to allow access to the " c" locks which hold the axle when the pin is installed. You cab then carefully remove the axles to get access to the four mounted bolts that sandwich the backing plate. Installation is the reverse of removal. Dont forget to refill the differential with the required amount of gear oil. Good LUck
